The college has well-established library setup with latest technical and non-technical magazines. It boosts an affluent collection of over 15165 volumes and over 100 national, international and online journals. College Library provides Book Bank facility to the students in which one text book per subject in which one textbook per subject is provided on term basis. Text books are provided according to the syllabus prescribed by JNT University, Anantapur. Library has added new dimension in the form of E-library to access the study material in the form of electronic media. Students are provided with internet facility that enables them to download important study material as and when required.

 

The central library is equipped with modern infrastructure, with a capacity to accomodate 100 Users. It has a collection of more than 16500 Volumes. Besides subscribing more than 5000+ Online E-Journals through DELNET and N DIGITAL ONLINE.COM.Apart from these, other subscriptions of more than 100 + Print Journals & Magazines are facilitated.It is also equipped with well established E- Learning Resource Centre with latest Computers.A Team of 4 professionally qualified and trained staff manage the Library.

All the operations of the library are automated using ECAP Library integrated Software. The Issue, Renewal and Return of books and other materials are automated completely by using ECAP( library management software).All books and membership cards are Bar-coded. The circulation and transactions are carried out using Bar-code scanners.

 

Provides the access to the BITS Library database. It allows the users to know the OPAC library collection and the status of the Library Resources. OPAC allows the users to search the database by Title, Author, Call Number, Accession Number of the document/book.User can access BITS Online Public Access Catalogue from any computer connected to the BITS- LAN.

LIBRARY MEMBERSHIP

• All the Bonafide Students and Staff members are eligible for membership and use the services of Library & Information Centre.

• Application for membership should be made on the prescribed form which can be had from the Library’s Information Desk.

• All the registered members are called the users of Library..

• The Library is primarily for the use of Faculty, Research Scholars, Students, and Non-Teaching employees of the Institute.

• The privilege of borrowing books from the library is restricted Staff & Students only

• An overdue charge will be collected for returning the books after the due date.

• Library Members : * Students: 1,400 & Staff : 150

LIBRARY WORKING HOURS

• Library works from : 09 : 00 am to 05 : 00 pm

• Book Returns : 09 : 00 am to 04 : 00 pm

• Book Issues : 09 : 00 am to 04:00 pm

• It will remain closed on all Sundays, and other Institute’s Holidays.

• The above mentioned timings of the library is subject to change from time to time

• Changes will be notified on the notice board.
